HEARTLIGHT 0.3.0


Here we go again with another fresh hot build! This months build is kind of a special and weird one. With this build the game loop is relatively complete and features from this point forward will be more additive rather than structural which is great! This build also marks the end of new levels that will be coming out for a while; this is the end of the “tutorial”/ guided section and areas after this will be less hand holding, more exploratory and “plot” related.  Rather than spread myself thinner than I already have I will be sticking with these levels and treating them as my vertical slice that I will work to bring up to what I see as the production level. As for the levels that were added in this build… there were a lot of them and a lot of other features got added as well meaning the levels never made it out of the rough blockout phase. I felt rather than delay the monthly build just release as is and let y’all play around with it. 

New Features:

  • Continuation of the main quest
  • A new level with 15 rooms
  • New enemy type
  • Celeste as Ally
  • Added turrets 
  • Added item checkpoints 
  • Added MP charging station 
  • Spells can now be acquired and used
  • Charge MP through combat
  • Adding camping mechanic 
  • Added camping supplies mechanic 
  • Added day night cycles
  • Added relationship tracking
  • Added Fireball spell placeholder

Known Bugs:

  • Sometimes chests appear opened when they still have contents.
  • Enemies will sometimes pathfind incorrectly or become unresponsive.
  • Shadows occasionally pop in and out
